OBJECTIVE
To secure legal, logistical, and creative approval for all shooting locations with written permissions, ensuring zero disruption during production.
1. Final Location Locking (Creative + Budget Approval)

Creative Approval
- Final shortlisted locations approved by Director, DOP, Production Designer
- Ensure each location matches mood, tone, space & lighting need.

Budget Approval
- Confirm location cost fits within line producer’s allocated budget
- Check additional hidden costs: travel, generators, vanity vans, security
2. Permission Types Based on Location Category

3. Documentation Required

- Day-wise list of crew and vehicles

4. Police & Local Administration Intimation
- Submit Letter to Police Station of the area with:
- Date, time, purpose of shoot
- Number of people involved
- Vehicle numbers
- Traffic impact (if any)
- Carry hard copies on shoot day
- Appoint 1 person from team to coordinate with local authority daily
5. Stamp Duty & Legal Checklist (for Bigger Films)
- For premium/urban locations, check if stamp duty or GST is needed
- Sign contract on legal stamp paper (₹100 or ₹500 depending on state)
- Keep scanned + hard copies of all signed permission docs on shoot day
6. Crowd & Traffic Management (if outdoor shoot)
- Local volunteers or private security
- Hire traffic police (paid) if public road is used
- Set up barricades + signs (with permission)
7. Emergency Backup Plan
- Lock 1 alternate location per major setup
- If weather or permission issue arises, immediate shift possible
